Yoga is a Sanskrit word commonly translated as union, yoking or bringing together.. Union of mind, body, spirit & environment. It addresses physical, mental, emotional & spiritual conflicts

Patanjali is considered to be the Father of Yoga. He taught,
"Yoga is a state of oneness realized once one has stopped the fluctuations of the mind."
Yoga is a physical descipline of exercises called postures, or asanas, that strengthen, stretch & align the body & improve flexibility. Yoga achieves greater mental & physical balance and improves immunity while lowering stress levels. The brilliance of the posture lies in the mindful executionn of each pose, not in how far you can go with it. After practincing serveral poses with care & awareness, you can temporarily forget your worries, cares & fatigue. You usually find a sense of calmness, stillness, relaxation, restoration & peace. The various postures also create an internal massage of the organs, tissues & muscles & release the tensions casued by stress & overexertion. Yoga balances the connection of mind, body, breath & spirit.

Tranquility offers many classes in various styles of yoga to suit your personal needs and busy schedule. We offer classes in Yoga, Meditation, Pilates, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Aromatherapy and Nutrition & Lifestyle Changes. All our classes are taught by instructors who have years of experience and are practicing in their own lives. Our classes are non-judgemental, fun and very informative. We run our classes as six week sessions and you may register at any time either in our boutique, by mail or over the phone.
