"If you were to ask me
what was the most important
experience of my life,
I would say it was learning
to meditate.
For me that is the most
important thing a person
can do to restore harmony
and evolve to a higher
state of consciousness."

About Meditation |
|
|
|
Meditation is a process which allows the individual to experience
a higher level of consciousness. Reaching for restful alertness
and ultimate spiritual awareness, the goal of mediation is to
enhance daily living through improved focus and renewed
energy. In mediation, our goal is to reconnect with our true
essence and spirit. The connection begins in the meditative
state and carries through to enrich all facets of our lives. |

"Meditation is the process
through which we gain
ultimate freedom.
We discover that aspect
of ourselves which is
beyond limitation. We
escape the prison of the
past and future, where all
stress and anxiety dwell.
Then we remember our true
nature as joyful
and infinite.
This is true freedom."
- David Simon, MD

Primordial Sound Meditation |
|
|
|
The Primordial Sound Meditation technique originates from
the ancient knowledge of India. Deepak Chopra, M.D. and
David Simon, M.D., have revived this authentic process and
made it available in a format that can be easily learned
and practiced by everyone. |

What are Primordial Sounds? |
|
|
|
Primordial Sounds are the basic vibrations of nature.
Some Primordial sounds are audible - the wind, our breath,
the sea. Others are silent vibrations - the sounds of the earth
rotating, plants sprouting, the silent rhythms of our bodies.
We sense them internally. The specific Primordial Sounds
used in this form of meditation are transformed into mantras.
Silent mantras (quite, gently repeated, internal sounds)
guide us to venture inward, away from the frenzy of daily activity.
Entering the quiet of our spirit, the effect soothes our entire
physiology - Mind, Body and Spirit. |

How will meditation affect my health? |
|
|
|
Today doctors are increasingly citing stress as a major factor
in such illnesses as depression, anxiety, high blood pressure,
cardiac pain, insomnia, diabetes, ulcers, colds, fever, asthma,
arthritis and alcoholism.
Even though meditation should not be considered a cure by itself
research has shown that it contributes to reducing stress and
achieving deep relaxation and a profound state of rest.
By reducing stress, meditation has important benefits for
a wide range of health problems and also allows the mind and
body to function with maximum effectiveness. |
